The 60,000-square-foot expansion executed by Deacon Construction will complete the circle around the community’s beautiful courtyard. The expansion brings 29 Independent Living residences and an expanded Clubhouse filled with amenities and gathering spaces. More room to grow. More of what you want—right where you want it!
Our Top 10 List: Lodge Residences Features & Benefits for YOU!
#1 New Neighbors and Friends
First and foremost are the new residents we will welcome to our community this fall. The new Lodge Residences features mean more seniors will get to experience the uniquely uplifting community ambiance of Dallas Retirement Village. Several have already jumped at the chance and reserved their new home! Currently, 40 new residents are slated to move in. Thirty are couples; 10 are individuals. Fourteen of the 25 reserved residences will house residents from Polk County. And relocating from furthest away is a new resident joining us from Florida! Full occupancy will grow the community to more than 450 residents on campus. Don’t miss this opportunity to join us!
#2 Thoughtfully Designed Lodge Residences
Project Manager Brown shares that Phase II planners had the incredible advantage of being able to consult with current Phase I residents during the design process. “Their input allowed us to build on Phase I, evaluate likes and dislikes, and tune everything up in order to deliver the best possible design to our new Phase II residents,” says Brown.
The 29 new Independent Living residences are composed of both one-bedroom apartments (from 808 square feet) and two-bedroom apartments (up to 2,076 square feet).

#3 Picturesque Courtyard
Complementing the original craftsman exterior of Phase I—a familiar and comfortable aesthetic that just feels like home—the 60,000+-square-foot expansion project completes the circle around the community’s beautiful courtyard. A dynamic fire fountain stands as the centerpiece to this secure, picturesque gathering space that features lush landscaping meticulously maintained throughout each season. Plus, two pergolas—complete with grills for outdoor cooking—offer residents additional options for small group gatherings.
#4 Indoor Saline Pool & Hot Tub
The jewel of the new 21,000 square-foot Clubhouse is the indoor swimming pool and hot tub with adjacent men’s and women’s locker rooms. Gorgeous 25-foot vaulted wood-beamed ceilings and huge windows provide lots of natural light. The pool is filled with climate-controlled saline-treated water, which is less harsh on the skin. It’s perfect for a casual swim or exercise, especially water aerobics. And the 10-person hot tub—need we say more? The perfect place to relax in soothing, swirling warmth, and comfort.
#5 Refresh Salon & Spa
The swimming pool/hot tub area is certainly a jewel, but many more gems in the Clubhouse are specifically designed to support your health, well-being, and BEAUTY. Like the Refresh Salon & Spa—right next door to the pool—where pampering is the rule of the day. At this full-service hair salon, the stylists, clinicians, and professionals at Refresh will also offer manicures and pedicures in specially designed stations. Additionally, specialty beauty and massage services will be offered in private treatment rooms in the clinician area. The Refresh Salon opens up into the community’s beautiful courtyard for easy access.
#6 The Loft: Roof-top Solarium and Adjoining Patio
On the third floor of the Lodge Clubhouse, you’ll find The Loft—a temperature-controlled solarium with both indoor and outdoor spaces. With glass all around and a wall of sliding doors, this space is designed to bring the outside in—weather permitting. The Loft and its adjoining roof-top patio will be plush with greenery and complemented by both lounging and dining areas around an indoor fireplace and an outdoor fire pit. The roof-top patio has its own outdoor kitchen, making this outdoor space ideal for community events and parties. Also, residents can also utilize the space for private family get-togethers.
#7 Select Rehab Wellness
Dallas Retirement Village welcomes Tiffany Garcia, the community’s new Wellness Coordinator for the Select Rehab wellness program. This program will focus on fitness, nutrition, wellness, and aquatic exercise. As a progressive, forward-thinking senior community, it is important to Dallas Retirement Village to continue to expand wellness offerings for current and future residents in order to meet their ever-changing needs. Also in the Lodge Clubhouse, our additional commons space and amenities will allow us to expand our programming and Activities Calendar. Tiffany and the rest of the wellness staff have a number of new ideas in the works for both Studio 225 (new yoga and fitness room overlooking the swimming pool through a wall of windows) and for The Mill (new cardio and exercise equipment area adjacent to locker rooms).
MEET TIFFANY: Tiffany Garcia has the education and experience to pull our new Select Rehab Wellness program together combining exercise, fitness, aquatics, AND nutrition education, too. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in exercise science from Western Oregon University in Monmouth, and a Master’s Degree in clinical nutrition from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland. She is passionate about helping others improve their quality of life through physical fitness and nutrition and will be designing the community’s new Select Rehab Wellness program from scratch. Currently, you can reach Tiffany via email at Tiffany.Garcia@selectrehab.com.
#8 HUR Strength Training Equipment
And speaking of exercise equipment . . . Dallas Retirement Village is pleased to announce that it will become one of the most recent installations (10,000 worldwide on five continents) of HUR Strength Training Equipment in The Mill. HUR is a highly specialized strength training solution specially designed for older adults. They are the leading supplier of strength training equipment and senior wellness solutions designed to help residents and rehab patients thrive. The equipment is safe, operates on air resistance, is easy to use, and is computerized for residents who want to create and manage their own training programs.
#9 Donor Recognition Wall
Donor support of the Dallas Retirement Village lifestyle makes a significant difference in strengthening the surrounding Dallas community for all who live here. In recognition of those who have donated to help make this lifestyle a reality, the Dallas Retirement Foundation has incorporated a special Donor Recognition Wall. The recognition wall honors those who have supported Dallas Retirement Village Lodge Residences and Clubhouse Phases 1 and 2, by way of financial donation. You can begin your Dallas Retirement legacy today and achieve your philanthropic goals by creating a matching gift, joining our legacy society, or by honoring a loved one through a memorial gift. We would be so pleased to include you on our new Donor Recognition Wall.
#10 An Incomparable Lifestyle
At the June 2020 Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Phase II Expansion, Brian Dalton, Mayor of Dallas, described Dallas Retirement Village as “an affirmation of who we are in Dallas and how we take care of each other.” So true! Much more than a typical senior living community, Dallas Retirement Village is a spirited community of active older adults who enjoy vibrant living, rewarding opportunities, exceptional hospitality, and great friendships. Therefore, the Lodge Residences/Phase II is helping us build on all these lifestyle benefits so critical today in helping Dallas-area residents age successfully.
